When seconds count, Lake Region Healthcare's Emergency Department staff is ready to react quickly and provide the highest quality of care.
Lake Region Healthcare has been designated as a Level 3 Trauma Center by the Minnesota State Trauma System.
We have continuous surgery coverage, continuous orthopedics coverage, anesthesia services, 24-hour Operating Room and Blood Bank.
- All ED and ICU nurses have completed specific trauma education.
- All ED physicians are current with specific trauma education.
- All Surgeons have completed specific trauma education.
Our team works diligently to ensure patients receive the lifesaving medical care they need. In addition to trauma and life support training, Emergency Department staff members have training in basic cardiology and advanced cardiac life support.
To be able to more quickly serve our surrounding area in case of emergency, LRH has both ambulance and helipad services. We want our patients in the best hands as quickly as possible. The helipad as well as an additional ambulance bay, was renovated in January 2007.
